When you first get engaged, one of the very first things you plan is your engagement photography session! It’s a fun and exciting way to announce to your friends and family your upcoming wedding. Apart from the initial announcement, however, many couples are unsure what to use the images for. You have a full gallery of stunning, fabulous images and you want people to see them! We’re here to give you five different uses for those engagement photographs so that other people other than you can enjoy them!
1. Save-the-dates & Invitations
Although it’s not technically for use on the day-of, one of the most popular reasons to have engagement photos done is to use them for save the date cards. Many couples also choose to use them for their invitation suite. Using a new photograph with the two of you is a fun way to announce the wedding date. It also gives your loved ones a new image of the two of your for their refrigerator!
2. Guest Book
Creating a customized guest book is a great way to display your engagement photos. You can keep your guest book simple with just an image on the cover with blank pages for guests to sign or you can make it a little more personal. Some couples have included a few pages in the sign in book that lets their guests know how they met, and fell in love, set to the backdrop of their images. This option is great because it gives your guests the ability to look through your images and it is something tangible you can take home with you.
3. Photo Montage
Having a sideshow playing as your guests enter the reception area is a great way to get your guest talking and adds a little sentimental value. Not only can your friends and family see the embarrassing photos of you growing up, but they can see how you’ve grown together as a couple as well. Why wouldn’t you include a few of your engagement photos in it?
4. Party Favor for Guests
You’ll want your guests to take home something special to remember your wedding day by. Magnets, hand fans, and koozies are just some favors you can add a personal touch to by adding your images to. Many places online offer these and other options, so it is easy to add your favorite photographs and customize exactly how you want the favors to look.
5. Display at Wedding
There are many places you can display your images at the wedding as decorations. From a beautiful canvas displayed at the front of the ceremony, to table toppers, incorporating your images during your big day is a nice, personal touch. We’ve seen many couples customize their wedding tables with a unique photograph of them from their session, and the guests always love walking around and looking at each one.
