Our style of wedding photography is based on authentic, connection-based storytelling, and we love photographing natural moments. This summer wedding at the barn was the perfect setting for natural photos of the couple on their wedding day.
Wedding Day
This wedding day was special to us. We’ve known Hannah for over 15 years, and when they asked us to photograph their wedding, we were thrilled. Relaxed and full of blissful joy, the typical wedding day nerves we see were nonexistent as they got ready. When we photograph weddings, we split up during the beginning of the day. With each of us there to be with both the bride and the groom, we get a larger variety. Tim went to be with Jason and his groomsmen while they happily got ready, while Clarissa went to the bridal suite to be with Hannah, her mom, and her bridesmaids.
After they finished getting ready, Hannah had a first look with her dad and bridesmaids, then with Jason. She looked gorgeous, and we loved getting to see her best friends get so emotional when they saw her in her gown.
The outdoor ceremony was perfectly decorated, and despite the Fall chill in the air, everyone was cozy and comfortable with blankets as they watched Hannah and Jason proclaim their never-ending love for each other. The evening ended with a surprise dress change and dancing for all.
Wedding Day Portraits
We were thrilled that Hannah and Jason wanted to explore the venue grounds during their portraits. The Gambrel Barn offers a variety of photography-friendly features. In addition to the barn, they have a charming outdoor ceremony space we utilized for some photos. The main stage for the majority of the newlywed portraits was the rolling hills and stunning landscaping.
Wedding Reception
Hannah and Jason met swing dancing, so we knew we were in for a treat on their first dance. They delighted and performed for us, and it was so much fun watching them. The food was delicious, the cake was great, and Hannah surprised Jason with a second, shorter dress that was easier to dance in! The night ended with the guests dancing the night away.
Hannah and Jason, it was nothing short of amazing getting to photograph your wedding day. We are so happy you’ve found each other. We hope you continue to make each other laugh, smile, and dance. We wish you the best married life!
