The Couple’s Story
High school sweethearts Daniel & Leah’s wedding took place at their family farm in a small town in southwest Missouri. This farm was the perfect setting for their big day, full of the sweet memories of the past and renewed hopes for the future. Although the heat was out in full force, it didn’t stop them from filling the venue with their closest friends and family. From the moment we started with them, up until the ceremony, we could feel their excitement for the big moment. With each tiny detail intricately planned out, pre-wedding nerves were nonexistent with these two, only joy and eagerness to finally become husband and wife.
Wedding Ceremony
One of my favorite moments from the day was capturing their private vow reading before their actual ceremony, and getting to witness the rollercoaster of emotions as they declared their love and thankfulness for each other. You could see the bliss and pride in Daniel’s face as he watched Leah walk down the aisle towards him. Some other highlights of this special day were the American flag Hey Dude shoes they both wore, the look on Daniel’s momma’s face as she watched her last baby boy become a husband, having Daniel’s uncle be the officiate for their ceremony, and the special “money vase” from Leah’s grandma with the amazing history and story behind it.
Wedding Photography In Extreme Temperatures
As a wedding photography team, we are always willing to adapt to any changes on the day to ensure our couples have the best possible experience. On this day, we had some challenges with heat, with temperatures over 100. We were prepared for these situation, and were able to keep our cameras cool, and keep our bride and groom hydrated, bringing them water bottles throughout the day. Due to the heat, we had to adapt and make last-minute changes to the timeline to ensure our couple and their guests were as comfortable as possible, all while still capturing their beautiful love story.
When Your Bridal Party Becomes a Hype Squad
When you first get engaged, one of the first things you probably think of is who you want to to stand up with you on your big day. We love to turn a simple bridal party into the couple’s personal hype squad. One of our favorite parts of a wedding day is getting the bridal party together to pump the bride and groom up. This bridal party did not disappoint, and the heat was momentarily coming from the couple instead of the day!
Daniel and Leah, it was a privilege to get to capture your love story. The fairytale of getting to marry your best friend is something you two truly emulate. You’re both so eager to lift up each other and love on each other. I can’t wait to watch you as you grow through your marriage and continue your life together.
