The Couple’s Story
High school sweethearts Nikki & Hunter’s wedding took place at Briar Barns in Sparta, MI. This farm was the perfect setting for their big day, surrounded by family and friends. We first met Nikki and Hunter two years ago for their first engagement session. After photographing them two more times throughout the years, it felt like we were photographing family when their wedding day finally arrived.
Wedding Ceremony
One of my favorite moments from the day was getting to see Hunter and Nikki interact on their wedding day. After working with them so many times before, we were already comfortable with each other, and they were comfortable in front of my camera. Seeing how excited they were that the day was finally here was so special. The ceremony took place in the underground area, which was perfect and cool during the heat of the day. Seeing Hunter’s face as Nikki walked toward him was only rivaled by her momma, and they were both so excited. A Wedding At Briar Barns
Briar Barns was a stunning venue for this wedding. We loved the variety of spaces the venue offered for both the ceremony and portraits. We began the day in the loft of the smaller barn as the ladies got ready, and the groom and his guys were in a room in the larger barn. The outdoor ceremony space was the perfect spot for a first look, and the large barn and outdoor area was perfect for eating, visiting and dancing the night away.
Nikki and Hunter, it was pure joy getting to photograph your wedding day. Throughout the past two years of engagement photo sessions, and keepsake video sessions, we’ve began to look at the two of you as friends. We’re so happy we were there to capture the big day as it finally arrived. We can’t wait to continue to capture the big moments in your life.
